Charlie Daniels Park

The Heart of a Community

In the spirit of celebrating community in our local love issue, we would be remiss not to turn our attention towards the serene and natural beauty of Charlie Daniels Park in the heart of Mount Juliet. This little corner of our town centers around play, sport, relaxation, movement, and an overall sense of ‘togetherness’ that so many families in Mount Juliet enjoy throughout the year.

This park is appropriately named after country music icon, Charlie Daniels who was a resident of Mount Juliet and a noted lover of Tennessee and its people. And for decades, the park has served as a place where folks can find delight among its many amenities.

Whether you come here to stroll on the peaceful walking path, run around on the playground, play a game of basketball, have a picnic, or splash around Ava’s Splash pad, Charlie Daniels Park allows its visitors to enjoy themselves and their time spent here.

Residents are encouraged to take part in several events hosted at Charlie Daniels Park throughout the year; most notably, Celebrate Mount Juliet, an event that brings thousands of people out as they celebrate our city’s anniversary each year. The park also hosts events such as Food & Flick movie nights, craft fairs, Halloween in the Park, Cruise-ins, and much more.

Mount Juliet is truly a special place to be, and Charlie Daniels Park is the gem that keeps reminding us just how special our community really is. “Ain’t it good to be alive and be in Tennessee?”- Charlie Daniels.
