Charlotte Becerra isn't just a resident of the Santa Ynez Valley; she's a force of goodwill, weaving her passion for history, horses, and community into every facet of her life. Her behind-the-scenes work is unmatched. Many of the annual celebrations that we enjoy, she most likely has had a hand in. From Old Santa Ynez Days to the 4th of July fireworks, to the SY Chamber, SYV Historical Society, SB County Cattlewomen, and SYV Equestrian Association to name a few… Charlotte’s perspective on community is something we all could learn from.
When asked about her involvement, her advice to others echoes her own experiences, “Volunteer for something you're passionate about. Community is more than just a place; it's a collective home in the sense that we all work together, doing our part, to make it a wonderful place to live.”
Beyond her volunteer work, Charlotte is a proud sponsor of Pirate Athletics. Her commitment to young talents extends to her own family as the wife of esteemed horse trainer, Ramon Becerra, and mother to daughter, Katherine.
Charlotte's entrepreneurial spirit shines through Charlotte’s of SY, an establishment that has been a cornerstone of the community since 2017. Through her store, she not only provides exceptional service but also fosters a sense of belonging in Santa Ynez.
She is not just a leader, but a compassionate steward dedicated to enriching every facet of community life. We are lucky to call her ours!
Community ...is a collective home in the sense that we all work together, doing our part, to make it a wonderful place to live.
