You can just feel it. A certain energy that is transferable at the door, a warm and welcoming aura that makes you feel at home. There is a difference at CityVet Roswell, and this is no accident. Dr. Andrew Raskin’s goal was always to convey this sentiment, not only to his clients and their human parents, but to the staff he lovingly calls family.
“The number one reason I entered business ownership was to create a joyful place for people to work. An appreciated and gratified staff won’t hesitate to meet you at the door! They will excitedly love on your pets! They deeply care about their work,” says Dr. Raskin.
This attitude can be felt throughout the practice. From the large mural at the front that lets you know “We’re Rooted in Kindness”, to the exam rooms where comfort and understanding for dogs and cats abound, your pet’s best interest is in mind.
For Dr. Raskin, the love for animals started at a young age. “I was always drawn to our family dogs and cats and I loved volunteering with local rescues. It felt only natural to that my first job in high school was at our pets' veterinary office. From there, I fell in love with the medical puzzle each patient presents. It's a great profession for someone who likes to problem solve, as our patients cannot tell us what is bothering them,” Dr. Raskin relays.
His thirst for knowledge and the quest for procuring the best experience for his patients brought him to CityVet. Dr. Raskin shares, “CityVet attracted me as a business owner because they provide partner veterinarians with complete autonomy to run the practice the way we want. This ranges from organizing and decorating the space, to hiring, to practicing the individualized and high quality medicine we want for our patients."
This structure allows Dr. Raskin and his staff to focus on what really matters - your pet’s health, comfort, and happiness. Walk-ins and sick visits are available seven days a week. In the event that your best furry friend needs to be hospitalized, they offer IV therapies, and even perform emergency surgeries onsite. Individualized wellness and preventative care is also provided seven days a week from initial vaccines as a puppy or kitten to older age and geriatric care. More recently, they proudly announced the addition of a very talented groomer, Rachel.
Rachel’s poodle, Miriam, has become an attraction in her own right for CityVet Roswell. As the dog-daughter of a talented groomer, she can be seen sporting a plethora of different hair cuts, dyes, and patterns. “She is always excited to show off her new look for the clients and their pets and her gentle attitude makes her a perfect clinic dog.” Dr. Raskin says.
Everyone at CityVet Roswell is excited to join the community and has already gotten involved in several ways. Dr. Raskin and his staff joined River Eves Elementary School in April for a Career Day. The practice is also deeply involved with rescue work, partnering with Furkids Animal Rescue, Angels Among Us, and Ozzie Albies Foundation.
“We have a very tight knit group here at CityVet Roswell. Many of us come from a shelter medicine background. This type of background instilled a lot of compassion in us. It also taught us to always do everything we can for every patient that walks in the door. We try to accommodate every patient and their family's needs, and we will always build a plan specifically for them", says Dr. Raskin. Where care and commitment are evident, excellence follows; it’s the CityVet way. Come find out for yourself and stop in for a tour or make an appointment at https://www.cityvet.com/location/roswell
