Clutter Free & Happy

Two local service businesses team up to help you clean up

Do you sometimes feel that any day you are expecting the surprise intervention team from the T.V. show "Hoarders"  will be knocking at your door.   We are delighted to introduce you to 2 East Valley Businesses that are here to ease your fears and help you get everything back right in its place

My Errand Ally and Super Junk Removal provide services that help give people back their time, space, and sense of well-being.

We spoke with the owners of both companies and got to know more about their backgrounds and services—and how they are ready to help you to get and stay organized.

Devoney Kelash, My Errand Ally

For as long as she can remember, Devoney Kelash has had a passion for helping others.

In order to make peoples’ lives easier, Kelash was inspired to create a business that would do just that. She opened My Errand Ally in Chandler in January 2016.

Kelash and her team offer grocery delivery, errand, vacation, and wait services to clients across the Valley; her customers include business professionals, seniors, new parents, and homebound individuals and their caregivers.

“It’s like having a personal assistant whenever one is needed,” she says.

Prior to opening My Errand Ally, Kelash had a career in social work and victim advocacy at Superior Court before becoming a stay-at-home mom to two boys.

“I began doing odd jobs and running errands for family and friends, and as soon as my youngest began school, I put my idea for My Errand Ally into action,” she says.

For people who want to be more organized in their lives, as well as reclaim some of their time, Kelash says My Errand Ally can definitely help with that goal.

“Using a personal concierge can give people more time back in their day,” she says.

“Time is precious, and delegating tasks to an errand service like My Errand Ally also frees up time for people to do things they enjoy, including working, relaxing, and having fun with friends and family.

People can use My Errand Ally’s services weekly, monthly, or occasionally.

When she is not busy helping her clients, Kelash can be found spending time at the lake or camping with her family.

Whether she is picking up groceries, feeding pets for a client who is on vacation, or waiting at a home for a repair person to arrive, Kelash says she truly enjoys knowing that she is helping others.

“Our clients are so thankful for the help, and getting time back in their day. It makes the work so worthwhile,” she says.

Eric Christensen, Super Junk Removal

If you have unwanted items taking up space in your home, garage, yard, or shed, Eric Christensen, owner of Super Junk Removal, is ready, willing, and able to help.

Christensen founded his Chandler company in 2016 with one pickup truck and an old landscape trailer. Since then, Super Junk Removal has grown into a full-service junk removal company with multiple trucks and crews working across the Valley.

“Other services we provide are small demolition jobs, parking lot portering, and pressure washing services,” Christensen says, adding that he launched the pressure washing side of his business a 20-plus years ago.

“While doing business I began developing contacts with local realtors and property managers and realized there was quite a market for junk removal. The more junk removal we did, the more junk we realized was out there. It just made sense to keep growing.”

Super Junk Removal is a family-owned and -operated company; with the exception of one loyal employee who has been with Christensen since the beginning, his team is made up of family or extended family.

Christensen, who enjoys spending his free time with family and playing ice hockey with his two older sons, says he takes great pride in offering a much-needed service to others, and helping people to get more organized, one truckload of removed items at a time.

“Once unwanted items are out of the way, organization becomes a breeze. We are happy to remove clutter that may have accumulated in storage areas, leaving behind a clear working space. These clear working spaces naturally lead to better organization,” he says, adding that he has also handled a number of hoarding situations with dignity and respect.

“We understand how people start to acquire junk, and then end up embarrassed by it. We really make our customers feel good with our non-judgmental, helping approach.”
