Cold winter months can sink our spirits into a funk, but making changes—even small ones—to our homes is an easy way to spice things up and go from winter drab to sofa-bulous! The team of interior designers at Bond Furniture Gallery are on the pulse of this year’s hot home fashions. Even better, they’re sharing five popular trends you’ll want to consider for your own.

Bring nature inside.
“I think especially this year, people are just wanting more greenery—more indoor plants, more wall pockets. I don’t think people know how easy it is to create nature-growing walls or plant walls.”

Think green—specifically emerald.
“This is a very trendy color that’s still catching steam. It was very big in the 80s, and just like we’re seeing clothing trends from the 80s and 90s back in style this year, that emerald green is coming back as well.”

Try spa blue.
“This is also a very popular color right now—that soft blue with an undertone of green. There’s a natural suggestion of relaxation being reflected in the trends we’re seeing—people are spending so much more time at home, and they want a relaxing environment to live in.”

Lean into coral.
“Brighter coral colors play off blue and white well, and just give off that fresh feeling. People seem to really vibe on going with fresher colors—especially at the beginning of the year, when we tend to get tired of darker colors.”

Go big—larger master beds.
“Master bedrooms in new construction homes are being built larger, so the size and scale of master bedroom beds are huge compared to what they were previously. We’re seeing beds that are 6-7 feet tall. Canopies, fabric beds, and large headboards are in across the board.”
