As a sport, sailing is extremely unique in its combination of individual skill and team-oriented practice. It's a sport that builds skills for life applications: confidence, independence, strategic thinking, and teamwork. Learning to sail can be a life-long adventure that can take sailors, exploring and racing, all over the world.
CSC offers sessions for all experience levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Participants do not have to own their own boat and you don't have to be a CSC member to join the fun. The organization has well-trained, US Sailing-certified instructors and coaches, well-kept, club-owned boats, and detailed safety protocols. Our sailors are also required to wear well-fitting PFDs at all times, regardless of their swimming ability.
Lake Murray is such an amazing asset to the Midlands area, and one of the only places in South Carolina that youth have the opportunity to sail as a hobby and as an organized sport!
