Megan Mendez, Administrator of Comfort At Home Agency, has worked as a Registered Nurse for over fifteen years.  Her nursing experience includes working in homecare, nursing home and hospital settings with mainly geriatric patients. Her motivation for working in the homecare field was brought on eight years ago by her own mother's need for homecare.  Taking her mother home from the hospital without equipment or help was one of the hardest things she has experienced. “It was a really traumatic experience that I would never wish on anybody,” says Megan. This experience cemented her vision of providing homecare and serving those in need.

Comfort At Home has been servicing the CSRA for over eight years. “Homecare is for anyone needing assistance with personal care services at home - that includes bathing, dressing, medication reminders, fall prevention, errands, preparing meals and skilled nursing such as medication administration & wound-care etc.,” says Megan. Additional services include transportation to and from medical appointments and Covid-19 testing.  Comfort At Home's staff consists of experienced Caregivers and Registered Nurses who have a background in homecare and are dedicated to helping you be more independent in your chosen place of residence. Comfort At Home works with you to create a care-plan tailored to your specific needs. Offering on an hourly or continuous basis, Comfort At Home is able to be there when you need it most.

Falls are among the leading causes of injury among elderly patients and caregivers focus on preventing falls by continuously assessing the environment and removing obstacles that may lead to a fall. This service brings peace of mind and helps their clients prevent injury from falls. “Home care is helping seniors remain independent and safe wherever they choose to live,” says Megan. Megan shares that getting to know her clients and develop a bond with them is one of her favorite things to do. “My favorite part is learning about their life, gaining knowledge from them, and knowing that I’m helping them. My aim is to help patients and their families navigate the healthcare field one patient at a time."
