The Hotel Cashiers is a thoughtfully restored old-school motel where you can park your car outside your door and settle in for the weekend. Hello, summer!
Walking distance from the four-cornered town center of Cashiers, North Carolina, the hotel is perched on a shady hill, backing up to rolling wooded views, an easy two-and-a-half-hour drive from Roswell. The renovation includes new interiors that lilt toward mid-century modern, with a sheen of comfort (cozy throw blankets) and conveniences (a shared kitchen with extra coffee, breakfast, and snacks).
The hospitality is warm and efficient and the bar is small but inviting, with locals stopping by to taste what’s new in the wine cellar. There are multiple restaurants and shops at your doorstep, more than 2,000 square feet of green outdoor space, and direct access to the Cashiers Ramble Walking Trail connecting you to the center of town. The Cashiers Ramble, a walking trail meandering through town, adjoins the property and is the perfect way to explore the area and enjoy the numerous festivals and activities at the Village Green.
The cute boutique, located in the lobby, is one of the finest destinations for curated wines and gifts in town. The friendly front desk team is ready with recommendations for local activities, dining, shopping and waterfall hikes.
On summer's cooler nights, find the firepit in the garden stocked with wood and kindling, offering wooded views. It's a BYO (Build Your Own) scene. Pick up a bottle of wine in the boutique and stretch out for the evening in a mountain setting to write home about.
Hotel Cashiers recently launched a new private residence collection, with its inaugural listing just in time for summer. Outland Skyhaus is the ideal luxury vacation rental in the Cashiers area, featuring four bedrooms, and three baths with views for miles.
Outland Hospitality started as a way for the founders to direct their passions for great hospitality, boutique design, travel, friendly customer service, and love of nature into unique properties in an area that they have always called home. The founding and leadership team's long history in Cashiers, NC is complemented by unique international roots and influence ranging from the American South, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Drawing on this background, as well as experience in hospitality, design, real estate, and construction, the team aspires to bring a global sense of hospitality and comfort to their projects.
This season, the Bar at Hotel Cashiers will be hosting several wine-tasting events showcasing seasonal wine menus, a live music series as well as artist and author talks. The summer music roster will be headlined by the July 15 performance by Darren Nicholson, a Grammy-nominated artist performing original Americana music from the mountains of Western North Carolina. Darren is also a 13-time International Bluegrass Music Association winner and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry. The music series will also include monthly jazz sets including "Sip & Swing" jazz Sundays with mimosa and other wine specials.
