Julie had finally done it. It took her the better part of a Saturday, but she had cleaned her entire house.
“Looks nice,” Julie thought to herself, standing back to admire her work. “I just pray it stays this way, if only for a little—”
WHAM! SLAM! Julie’s reflection was severed by the sounds of her front door opening and closing like she had lectured her young children not to. “Mom!” they cried out in unison, racing up to hug her.
Thing One: “It was glitter day at school! Teacher gave me a new pencil for being the one who covered herself in the most glitter!”
Thing Two: “And you want to know what else? You know what else? Do you want to know what else? I … I … I … I rolled in dirt!”
And then in unison once more: “We’re going to run around the house and touch stuff!”
Julie’s children’s arrival was immediately followed by her husband’s. “Hi Honey!” he said, chipperly. “I love our family so much that I am going to roast this entire wild hog I caught on my way home from work. If you need me I’ll be in the kitchen. Hey – where do we keep our hog scalding tub?”
At that very moment, Julie’s many German shepherds all released half of their coats directly onto her living room carpet.
“That’s it!” declared Julie. “No more! I won’t be bamboozled again! I’m throwing my mop and broom and Scrubbing Bubbles straight into the trash, because I’m not wasting another second cleaning this house only for it to get dirty again in such comically rapid fashion. I’m going to call a locally owned home cleaning service to scour this home clean on a regular basis, or whenever I feel like it!”
“What’s that, Honey?” Julie’s husband called out from the kitchen over displeased hog noises.
Julie paused to take a breath. In doing so, she realized the mere thought of the words she was about to speak filled her with peace and relief. “I said:
“I’m Calling CottageCare!”
Julie is smart. In choosing CottageCare, she never has to sign a contract. Never has to pay a rescheduling fee. Never has to go through a rigamarole obtaining a quote for speedy and affordable service. Never has to worry about noxious chemicals getting up all up inside her German shepherds’ delicate purebred snoots! Her only concern will be finding a pastime more pleasurable than house cleaning, such as anything.
“When you get right down to it, making people’s lives easier is the heart of our business,” said John Sulciner, owner of CottageCare House Cleaning. “Many of our clients are families with too much to do and too little time to do it in. Many others are seniors who have vacuumed enough for one lifetime. We also support moving companies, junk removal services, and other businesses that need floor-to-ceiling polishes at their own clients’ homes.
“We were recently called out to a hoarder house that had just been cleared of decades’ worth of clutter. It was one of our most challenging projects in 19 years of business, but the reward was heartwarming. The man who inherited that beautiful ‘50s mid-century modern was overcome with emotion when he saw our results. He could once again recognize his childhood home!
“We owe our 4.8 stars on Google Reviews to over 170 clients. They love how thorough we are; our fast communication, and how easy we make it to schedule and reschedule weekly, biweekly, monthly and as-needed cleanings. We know plans change last minute, and never add more stress when they do.
“Our clients love our courteous cleaners best of all, though. We have 21 of them total, encompassing everyone from college students to working parents to seniors supplementing their retirement income. They’re all thoroughly background checked – true peace of mind to the majority of our clients who aren’t home during cleanings. They’re all earnest professionals, who make efficient work of our whopping 172-item cleaning checklist. But most importantly, they’re the most highly compensated house cleaners in the Twin Cities. We offer better wages than our competitors, and holiday and vacation pay as well.
“Reward people more, and they’ll do better work. Imagine that!
“I love CottageCare for the good it allows me to do on local and global scales. It’s been a great joy to serve on the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee, as well as donate to the Chamber, the Eden Prairie Community Foundation, and half a dozen local youth sports organizations – all opportunities to support my hometown, where I raised my own children, that I couldn’t enjoy without CottageCare. I’m no less passionate about CottageCare’s philanthropic work in Rwanda, where we provide food, housing, clothing, education and health care directly to widows and orphans. We’re also protecting every part of our planet the air touches thanks to CottageCare’s foundational commitment to exclusively using eco-friendly cleaning products.
“I’d like to thank my community for helping my business grow by 20 percent last year. It’s proof we must be doing something right!”
