Prepping your bathroom to welcome guests will make a big impact! A few small touches will help guests feel right at home.
Soft and Clean Towels
Have fresh, clean towels at the ready for your guests. Bath towels, a hand towel, and a washcloth should give a guest everything they need for their stay. I like to make it feel like a hotel and use crisp white towels. Your guests will appreciate feeling right at home when they don't have to ask you for a towel.
Nice Smelling Soaps
I try to think of what nice hotels offer and good quality, nice smelling soap is one of the first things that come to mind. I love to leave out two options of soap for guests — a bar of fancy bar soap and a bottle of liquid hand soap.
Everyday Essentials
I like to make sure our guest bathroom vanity is stocked with a few everyday essentials that guests may need when they stay with us, including; travel sizes of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, floss, and extra toothbrushes. Special touches I also like to include are a bath bomb or bath salts in case they want a relaxing soak and a small first aid kit. I always leave extra toilet paper and tissues in the cabinet in case they run out. This is my favorite category of items to have available for guests, I think it really helps make a guest feel at home when they don't have to ask for extra items or to borrow something they may have forgotten!
One last item that I think can easily be overlooked in a bathroom is a trash can! It may sound silly, but make sure to keep a small trashcan in your bathroom in case guests need to dispose of something during their stay.
I truly believe adding these simple touches to your guest bathroom can help elevate the experience of anyone who stays with you!
