Throw a Creative Birthday Bash

Soft Pastels + Fairy Butterflies Make for a Dream Celebration

Being creative can take on many forms, and one tangible way to express that artistic side is through creating events that will be remembered as special moments in time. Throwing a birthday party is not only an opportunity to connect with the people we love, but it can also lend an outlet to express our creativity.  When Becky Hillyard teamed up with Morgan and Claire from Pink Antlers Studio to plan her daughter’s birthday party, they did just that.

The theme all started with Sutton’s love for butterflies. Once the theme was determined, all of the details began to fall into place to transform this space into an atmosphere that invited young guests to imagine they were fairy butterflies. The soft pastels set a dream-like atmosphere and the balloon garland provided the texture and statement piece that was desired. The table settings, sweet treats and flowers set a whimsical tone that completed the fairy butterfly look.

Upon arrival, each guest was invited to pick any color of tutu to wear along with fairy butterfly wings. Once all the guests arrived and put on their tutu dresses and wings, they played fairy freeze dance and musical chairs. Next, a face painter arrived and painted beautiful butterfly designs on each guest’s face. Then it was time for some yummy chocolate cake and sweet treats!
