“We are a family of entrepreneurs that have just kept expanding into different avenues,” owner Lindy Rappaport explains.
“Kitchen and home goods are something that has always interested my husband, Claude, because he loves to cook. Plus, he’s a people person, so it brought together two things that he loves.”
The store features eye-catching displays of state-of-the art appliances, including brands that can’t be found anywhere else in the state. Serving as the exclusive dealer in Oklahoma for brands such as La Cornue, American Range and Sub Zero, Culinary Kitchen allows customers to truly create a custom kitchen that combines high quality with high style.
“We try to bring in products that you don’t find anywhere else in Oklahoma,” Lindy says. “We've pioneered a lot of products, and we give customers truly special options that they can’t find at other stores.”
For those looking for trendy tabletop products, the store features the latest styles of dinnerware, glassware, flatware, decorative items, vases and more. The showroom also offers laundry appliances, outdoor kitchen appliances, grills, small appliances and fire pits.
“We have a blend of all types of products, things that you can cook with and cook in, plus those special items that are decorative and fun,” she adds.
Customers can also take advantage of the store’s specialized services, including live demonstrations, monogramming, wedding registries, personalized custom gift baskets, corporate gift baskets, free gift wrap with purchase and hands-on assistance in designing the perfect kitchen space.
“We are here to help our customers design their dream kitchen,” Lindy explains. “We want the kitchen to fit the lifestyle, so we find out what they like to do in the kitchen and give them the appliances that will work best for their needs. The whole process is very custom and very individual.”
In addition to serving their customers, the Rappaports are also committed to helping others in the community. One important philanthropic effort each year is their direct involvement with the Oklahoma County Medical Society Alliance’s annual Kitchen Tour. The 31st Annual Kitchen Tour is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, and Culinary Kitchen will feature live cooking demonstrations for tour patrons throughout the day.
“We have lots of history of giving back to the community over the years, and we have been involved with the Kitchen Tour for more than a decade,” she says.
“We like to feature different chefs cooking on different products at the event, so patrons can see what these premiere appliances can really do. We are looking forward to carrying on the tradition again this year.”
The Kitchen Tour showcases five innovative and cutting-edge kitchens in the Oklahoma City metro, and proceeds from the event will benefit Vizavance (formerly Prevent Blindness Oklahoma) and Healthy Schools Oklahoma, an initiative of Bethany Children’s Health Center. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Culinary Kitchen.

Lindy says that it’s truly been a labor of love, and that they value being viewed as a one-stop shop for both luxury appliances and outstanding product knowledge.
