Cultural Arts in Austin

Experience the magic of the ATX Chamber and ATX Choir

ATX Chamber Music and Jazz

ATX Chamber Music and Jazz (ATX Music) combines performances by world-renowned classical and jazz musicians with upscale social experiences that engage and connect audiences beyond the traditional concert hall.

Founded in 2023, ATX Chamber Music and Jazz aims to create innovative, engaging, and immersive chamber music and jazz performances. “ATX Music represents a new vision for classical music and jazz,” says CEO Geoffrey Herd. “Our fusion of the highest caliber of musical artists with bespoke social experiences is unique in Austin and around the country. We aim to create an environment where audiences can not only listen to the greatest musicians of our time but also make new friends.”

Co-Artistic Director Anna Petrova adds, “We want our guests to feel that they have been immersed into an alternate reality when they enter the concert hall, as if they had become part of an opera scene.”

ATX Music regularly visits schools, hospitals, youth and retirement centers to ensure the entire community can experience great music. Go to www.atxmusic.com for more information about the organization and upcoming events.

National Children’s Chorus Austin Chapter

The Austin Chapter of the Grammy-award winning National Children’s Chorus (NCC) led by Austin-based Artistic Director & CEO Luke McEndarfer, is one of the fastest-growing and most successful youth arts organizations in the United States.

Led by Luke for the last 20 years, the chorus provides unparalleled training to more than 1,000 students. It comprises 32 choirs based in the chapter cities that also include Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Dallas, Boston and Chicago, but has moved its base of operations to Austin.

“Austin has been the nation’s fastest-growing city for the past decade and represents an exciting future for arts and culture in a place already known as the live music capital of the world,” Luke says. “With such strong population growth, I have always felt Austin had a lot of promise for classical music and three years ago decided to move here to launch National Children’s Chorus operations in both Austin and Dallas. We’re really happy with the rapidly growing community of musically talented children we now serve in Texas!”

NCC’s next Austin-area event is their Spring Spectacular in May. Go to https://nationalchildrenschorus.com for more information on events and auditions.
