Dr. Bryce Gates knew he wanted to be in the dentistry profession at a young age. Originally from the Carrollton area, Dr. Gates moved in with his aunt and uncle in Oklahoma to finish his high school career. This pivotal move allowed Dr. Gates the opportunity to experience the dentistry profession first hand while working in his uncle's dental practice. It was from this early dental experience that he knew he wanted to pursue dentistry, specifically dental surgery as a career.
After graduating top of his class from the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Texas School of Dentistry, Dr. Gates opened his advanced dental office in McKinney, Texas, in 2015. When talking about his practice, Dr. Gates has this to say, "I am proud to provide my patients with the best in dental technology, treatment options, and patient comfort."
Dr. Gates has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical and root canal treatments. Dr. Gates also places a strong focus on his post-doctoral education, using it in conjunction with the most state of the art technologies. He has been involved in placing over three thousand dental implants and has advanced training in conscious sedation.
With an eye on future expansion in the Bonham area, Dr. Gates brought Dr. Kasali onboard full-time to assist in the McKinney location.
Dr. Nigel Kasali was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After middle school, he and his family moved to Atlanta, GA, where he attended high school and continued to Valdosta State University to receive his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. From there, he went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
While working at a dentistry practice in Uptown, Dr. Kasali was introduced to Dr. Gates through a mutual acquaintance. After a few years of correspondence, Dr. Kasali began to work alongside Dr. Gates for several months, gaining familiarity with the techniques and best practices of Custom Dental. Dr. Kasali officially joined the practice in 2018.
Having sustained a tooth injury as a youth, which affected his smile and confidence, Dr. Kasali understands the importance of having a great smile to build confidence. He is committed to helping others lead more fulfilling lives by caring for all their dental needs.

Once a year, Custom Dental hosts a Free Veteran's Dental Day, where veterans are welcome to have their teeth cared for at no cost to them. In addition to caring for our veterans, Custom Dental also selects one special local mom to have all of her dental needs taken care of during their Annual Mommy Makeover.
