Many of us set New Years Resolutions in the beginning of 2021, but how many of us are on track to keep them? It’s great to set ambitious goals and we all know that life doesn't always go as planned. That’s why it’s so important to check in on your trajectory as the year flies by. Here are some tips to help you stick to your goals and live the life of your dreams!
- Reflect and Improve: Release the old and make space for what’s to come. Do this by reflecting on lessons learned and how you can improve moving forward. Setting and keeping goals is a learning process. This process helps us grow. Be honest with yourself and say these things out loud!
- Identify What’s Important: Make a list of the things that make you the most happy when your time is spent on them and DO THOSE THINGS. How can you make more room in your life for these things & people that bring you the upmost joy?
- Set Short-Term, Intermediate, and Long-Term Goals: Write goals down by time frame. Set 3-month, 6-month, 1-year, 5-year, and 10-year goals. Each of these should be personal, professional, and selfish goals! They can be smaller, more intimate goals and bigger aggressive goals that even you don't believe could be possible yet.
- Make a Vision Board: Visualization is very important in manifesting what you want. Making a vision board is easy and fun! It starts with realizing what you want and putting images on paper. You can make an electronic album on your phone, post-it notes, or a bulletin board. Place it somewhere where you can see it every single day and be inspired to stay on track.
- Get an Accountability Partner: Tell someone the details of your goals and have them check in regularly with you. It’s ok if you are a little off track or behind, but keep a journal and adjust and reflect accordingly. You will be each other's inspiration to dream big.
