Planning My Summer of Outdoor Adventures

#SUMMERGOALS

I'm dreaming of summer and all things fun. With summer so close, I'm making a list of #summergoals. Most people think of getting their bodies in shape, taking their kids on trips, or getting their house in order for summer BBQs. Those are all great things to do once the summer hits. But my mind is ticking a little different lately.

When I think of summer goals, I think of outdoor excursions. Last summer, I let the days roll by waiting and wishing I had someone to rock out these fun excursions with, but this summer I’m hoping to go with some friends or solo. Here’s my list of fun thing’s I plan on getting into.

  • Surfing Lessons– Last summer I had a blast using a boogie board out at Folly Beach, and since then I’ve been wanting to get on a surf board. I plan to head over to Carolina Salt Surfing Lessons to give it a go.
  • Zip Lining– My first experience with zip lining was at a summer camp in my teens. Since then I can’t get enough. I went over five years ago in Atlanta for a birthday, so I'm well overdue. I’ll be heading to Charleston Zipline Adventures for some zip lining fun.
  • Tubing – A lazy day on the river—who can beat that? Not me, of course. Edisto River has so many adventures, but this is one I’ll be sure to head down to Edisto River Adventures for a day on the river.
  • Ropes Course – Can you tell I’m not afraid of heights? Ropes courses are so much fun, and I can’t wait to hit up Wild Blue Ropes. This has been on my list for years now, and this summer, it’s going down.
  • Stand Up Paddle Boarding James Island County Park Day of Fun introduced me to my love of SUP. Water sports are my jam, and standing up to take in the scenic views is the icing on the cake. I'm hoping to head over to Charleston SUP Safari and give it a go.

There you have it—my if-they-let-us-out #summergoals. It's not your average goal list, but then again, I’m not average. T-minus 57 days until it's officially summer break!
