Now that travel is resuming more and more, Angelenos are venturing out of Los Angeles for vacation getaways. If you are heading to Vegas, here are some safe good bets for a perfect stay in Sin City.

Head to a room at the all-suite 7,000 all-suite Venetian, the Italian-inspired resort with luxury shops, world-class restaurants, an upscale casino and new safety protocols. All employees are tested for COVID-19 before returning to work at the resort.

The newly refreshed 650- to 1,400-square-foot elegant rooms ooze Vegas luxury with marble- and granite-clad bathrooms, a warm beige relaxing design scheme, sunken living rooms, Egyptian linens, flat-screen televisions and handsome wood furnishings. Enjoy the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows or opt for privacy with the remote control shades and curtain.

The Venetian’s multi pool area has been restyled, and Spritz, a new poolside café from the owners of Yardbird, is now open.

Majordomo Meat and Fish, located in the adjacent Palazzo, is a great option for a steakhouse dinner with an Asian spin. Chef David Chang’s menu includes a variety of smoked meats and seafood. Standout dishes include the Big fluffy flatbread served with a variety of dips and toppings including butter and honey, chickpea dip, lamb, Wagyu beef tartare and shaved foie gras.

Appetizers include a chilled shellfish medley, oysters, crab, shrimp cocktail, salads and stuffed peppers. There are also options for a table of diners including the large format smoked whole plate of short ribs, Alaskan King Crab and smoked prime rib dinner. The steaks are grilled over mesquite coals and all are delicious. Also offered are seafood main dishes including grilled branzino, lobster and roasted black cod and pasta and rice dishes including black truffle macaroni, lobster bucatini and roasted duck crispy rice. Side dishes include asparagus, fries, onion rings and mashed potatoes.

The bar offers a wide variety of sake, wine and specialty cocktails.

The 11,000-square-foot restaurant features a raw bar, wine room, two dining rooms and a private dining space. The modern design features textured gray tile, black steel windows, dark stained wood panels and oversized pendant lighting. Tall illuminated butcher cases filled with dry-aged meats are also on display. Diners can choose from booths or banquettes for dinner or opt for a seat for appetizers and cocktails at the green glazed terra cotta tiled bar.

New to St. Mark’s Square in Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes is BRERA Osteria, a great option for Italian fare. Dine al fresco in the middle of St. Mark’s Square and enjoy oven-baked breads and pizzas, homemade pastas, steaks and seafood. Appetizers include zucchini blossoms, Brussels sprouts salad, meatballs, and prosciutto. Pastas include beef Bolognese tagliatelle, cacio e pepe, beef ravioli, spinach potato gnocchi and saffron or mushroom risotto. They also offer a wide variety of tasty pizzas, steaks and seafood.

One of the best deals in Vegas is lunch at the new Estiatorio Milos, featuring fresh daily flown-in Mediterranean seafood. The restaurant offers a gorgeous display of seafood for diners to choose from as well as a produce market where side vegetable and fruits can be chosen as accompaniments. The $36 set price lunch gives diners a variety of delicious seafood options to choose from. Appetizers include oysters; a beautiful Greek meze plate including taramosalata, tzatziki, htipiti with raw vegetables and grilled peta; a Greek salad; grilled octopus and tuna tartare. Main dishes include a whole grilled sea bream, wild salmon with piazzi-style beans, grilled skewered chicken, lamb chops or linguini with lobster. Dessert options include house-made Greek yogurt, fresh fruit and a selection of ice creams.

Guests can also choose to dine in their suites with a new contactless delivery procedure upon request as well as a takeout service where guests can pick up food to take to their room.

Guests can enjoy the 120,000-square-foot casino, a large shopping mall and over 38 restaurants. Incorporating marble statues and design, gold leaf and a beautiful hand-painted ceiling in the lobby, the resort transports guests to a mini Venice with its Grand Canal Shoppes, gondolas, and replicas of various Venetian landmarks including the Palazzo Ducale, Piazza San Marco, Piazzetta di San Marco, the Lion of Venice Column and the Column of Saint Theodore, St Mark's Campanile, and the Rialto Bridge.

Reservations at Venetian or Palazzo can be made at Venetian.com.
