A MUST-TRY DOG-FRIENDLY FOOD TRUCK GARDEN

Finally, a spot that can satisfy several cravings at once in an outdoor, pet-friendly setting! 9 Mile Food Truck Garden is new to St. Louis in 2020 and offers an open air, amphitheater style setup for food trucks to visit each day for lunch and dinner. It’s perfect for groups, since everyone can choose their local St. Louis food truck of choice (usually there are 5-6+ to choose from at a time).

How is this all set up? Let’s take a tour…

9 Mile is located in Affton, Missouri slightly south of Hwy 44 (a really central area in St. Louis). When entering, the parking is plentiful and super easy. No parallel parking or meters! It’s a huge plus, and it makes it really easy to meet a group of friends there. This is also the perfect spot to bring out of town guests since it features a lot of local food all in one place.

Drinks

The Canteen is the first stop as you enter, an indoor bar area with plenty of seating and a lot of games in case of inclement weather. There’s so much to choose from at the bar! They have local St. Louis draft beer, draft wine, local St. Louis draft cold brew coffee and cocktails, too.  Draft cold brew? That sounds amazing!

The Patio

Just outside The Canteen, the patio has a lot of seating options with yard games and fire pits. Sit here and enjoy your drinks or head out to the turf area for food and fun! I love how 9 Mile has different spots to congregate and activities to keep you occupied for an extended visit. The outdoor area is dog friendly, too! They have dog waste stations set up – which makes it feel so inviting! Be sure to post a photo of your pooch’s visit on Instagram for and use #Dogsof9MileGarden for their features J.

Entertainment

9 Mile makes it SO fun for visitors! There’s always something planned for entertainment. Aside from enjoying the food picnic-style, 9 Mile has events like trivia nights, live music, movie nights, live sports, and even farmers markets and flea markets planned. 9 Mile is also the perfect setup for a big company party, charity event, or a festival. The venue really could bring so many fun event ideas to life! The laid back atmosphere makes it approachable for any age to enjoy.

Food

And, last but not least, the food! The trucks rotate each day and between lunch and dinner, so be sure to check 9 Mile’s social media or website for the most up to date menu options. My faves? Look for Doggie Mac’s, Essentially Fries and Poptimism. There are plenty of tables, amphitheater rock benches to sit on – or pack a blanket for a true picnic.  Since there are so many trucks available each time, I have found that the lines stay short. It’s fun that the selection rotates too, making for a new experience each time.
