Upon starting her business in 2005, there was a sudden delay in construction for her new space; however, this did not stop Stephanie from carrying out the vision she had in mind for her business when she decided to sell her furniture in her 700 square-foot condo and turn it in into a mini boutique. With the already purchased inventory on deck, she began creating ways to start selling, which included having champagne shopping parties at her condo and traveling to Dallas, Houston and other cities to participate in pop-up trunk shows to sell more inventory. There is no denying that Stephanie was a natural-born entrepreneur as she did whatever it took to launch her business into the successful one it is today.
"Estilo" means "style" in Spanish; Stephanie named her business after this name in order to appeal to both women and men, since she also sells men clothing. The boutique offers a curated collection of national and international brands, and you can be sure to find a rack of new arrivals updated daily, which clients have come to appreciate.
“My vision was for Estilo to have the vibe of going to your best friend’s closet," says Stephanie.
Stephanie is always expanding her business inventory by going to market every few months and searching for new designers that are up-and-coming or new to Austin. The core values of Estilo are deeply rooted in providing retail therapy and making customers feel confident and stylish through their attire. Estilo offers a wide variety of unique and quality clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, purses and other boutique merchandise. Estilo also holds monthly charitable events in-store where they give a percentage of sales back to the charity.
“We have been a go-to for our clients for everything from casual to cocktail," Stephanie says. "Our clients know they will always find something, whether it be for a last minute dinner invite or an upcoming special occasion."
Currently, Stephanie is proud to announce that she will be launching a men’s store in the fall of this year. “We are so excited to be able to offer the same personalized styling experience for men that we offer for women," she says.
Stephanie’s entrepreneurial journey resembles that of empowerment, passion and perseverance as she now inspires many in the Austin community with not only her flourishing business and new business on the way, but also her devoted passion to serve her customers. We look forward to seeing her brand continue to evolve into what’s to come.

Since 2005, Estilo has received numerous accolades and awards including Austin Fashion Week Critics Choice for Best Overall Fashion Boutique and Best Retailer and Austin Chronicle's Best of Austin numerous times. Stephanie and her husband Todd O'Neill were even awarded the most stylish couple of the year from the Austin American Statesman.
