No scrooges allowed! Goose Ritter decorates his 4,680-square-foot Double Diamond home with 18 trees every holiday season, plus a slew of other holiday décor. “The holidays are the most magical time of the year,” Ritter says. “It’s our favorite holiday and we go all out!”

Ritter’s house, which he shares with fiancé Enrique Tadeo, is covered in tasteful decorations, but the centerpiece of every room is the collection of Christmas trees. In all, the couple sets up 15 large trees and three small ones. In years past, all have been faux, but for 2024 they are adding a real tree, cut down with Ritter’s family.

“I love the light and the feeling of all the trees and lights. We keep the lights on all night and day so we can enjoy anytime,” Ritter shares. They get a head start, too. Typically, the decorating starts on November 1 and they leave everything up until the New Year. Decorating is a festive affair, with Christmas music playing and hot chocolate to fuel the frenzy.

“Each tree is unique… We have gnome trees, Disney trees, [a] red tree, [a] gold tree, gold/black trees with antlers, colorful trees, and the candy tree,” Ritter says. The trees range from 3-12 feet tall.

“Our home is listed for sale so we can have more space for Christmas,” Ritter laughs. “We would love to have taller ceilings—I know that our ceilings are already tall—and more space for storage so we can decorate for other holidays.”
