With a gracious demeanor and reverent smile, Fox will put your worries to rest the moment you meet him and his staff.
Fox has possessed an attuned spirit ever since he was a young teen doing the “grunt work” at a local veterinary clinic in Seguin, Texas. Fox recalls power washing dirty kennels and knowing, without a doubt, that he wanted to care for animals as his life’s work. What he didn't know then was that helping his animals’ owners would be equally satisfying. “Through some really challenging cases, I’ve grown exceptionally close with my clients,” Fox says. “Recognizing that I can ease their minds through a medical crisis is highly rewarding to me.”
Fox graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 2015. What followed was a year as a traveling veterinarian, visiting clients at their homes and working all day from his truck. In January 2022, Fox finally fulfilled his dream of having his own veterinary clinic where his patients can come to him. Although he spends most of his time at the office, he hasn’t forgotten about his large-breed patients who still need home visits for their ongoing care. Additionally, Fox still offers home visits for the delicate service of euthanasia. “In-home euthanasia is an important service for my clients, and I want to continue to provide this assistance to them,” he says.
Fox forms his inexplicable connection with animals by relating to their emotions. “I believe animals will remember a bad experience, and I never want that to be their takeaway when visiting with me or my staff,” he says. “It’s important to be patient with them, to pause and give them a moment to relax.”
Now that Fox and his wife Alyssa have three children of their own (not to mention two dogs and a cat), work-life balance has become an important consideration. “I’ve alleviated after-hour calls, and I make it a point to be home by 6 p.m.,” he says. He has noticed that these adjustments help his family as well as his clients. “I’m honored to offer a happy, well-rested staff that you can rely on with the pets you call family.”
