The inspiration for this lovely space sprung from competing personal styles of traditional and contemporary to create a cohesive coastal design. Throughout the property, the designer selected neutral and classic finishes for flooring, cabinetry, walls, and tiles alongside complementary accents of color and pattern to thoughtfully blend these styles together and create a warm and vibrant space for the homeowners.

Here are Glenn and Morgan's picks for what makes the design special:
- Custom cabinetry: Enhancing beauty and functionality, the custom dark-wood shelving acts as a key component to organize and display the homeowners’ collectibles. To add contrast, we chose to line the shelving with off-white wallpaper to build upon the neutral color palette within the room.
- Light fixtures: Uniquely crafted from coconut, we brought in this light fixture to add layers of texture and complement the curves of the furnishings and accessories. The way the light peeks through the opaque coconut “feathers” adds an unexpected touch and captures interest.
- Fireplace: To adorn the fireplace, we chose a large-scale porcelain tile that picks up the tones of the white oak floors found within the entirety of the home. By choosing a more abstract tile pattern that enhances the gray tones of the space, the fireplace becomes the focal point of the room.
- Furnishings & Decor: To counterbalance the room’s angles, we chose to integrate curved pieces for the seating arrangement, picking up the annular shapes found within the light fixture and fireplace tile pattern. To create a more curated and luxurious feel within the room, we brought in furnishings featuring a variety of textures.
