Located in the heart of downtown KC, the Stilwell Restaurant is now open inside the Loews Hotel. With an open concept, and farm-to-table ingredients, you can't help but be entranced by the atmosphere – and the history. The Stilwell name is a nod to The Stilwell Oyster Car; the iconic 30-ton wooden tank car that kept Gulf oysters in saltwater and shipped from Port Arthur, Texas, to Kansas City in the 1800s. While the new menu does include oysters, it's the Kansas City flare that really shines.

Chef Patrick LeBeau may hail from New York but he brings KC flavors to the table. We're talking roasted pork belly and smoked pork shoulder with a house made bbq sauce featuring Tom's Town Bourbon, smoked beef short ribs with Jack Stack bbq sauce, and even Hemmes Bros cheddar ice cream served over apple cake.

Don't forget the cocktails. The menu features arguably the most iconic cocktail to come out of the Kansas City area. Originating from Lawrence, KS, the Horsefeather is spicy, citrusy, and perfect to enjoy throughout the entire year. Featuring J. Rieger Kansas City Whiskey, you won't regret it.

Make a reservation, and come in early to check out Horsefeather Social, Loews rooftop patio. Up on the 7th floor, the patio faces one of KC's beloved landmarks, the Kauffman Center. Before you head to dinner take in the view on the main level on the wraparound balcony overlooking downtown and the Power & Light District as you sip on perfectly crafted cocktails and culinary creations.

The terrace bar serves perfectly as a tribute to the history of Kansas City’s iconic drink and a toast to the future of Kansas City's Loews Hotel.
