Dining in Daytona

What is the Food & Drink City List?

When I first moved to the area, I found myself searching for businesses that truly stood out—those offering not just good service, but exceptional quality at fair prices. I didn’t just want names; I wanted to know who was the best, why they were the best, and how to support them. That’s why I launched Daytona City Lifestyle and created the City List.

Each month, we highlight local businesses that consistently exceed expectations. Unlike other “Best of” awards, the City List doesn’t name a single winner. We recognize all top-tier businesses voted by our readers—no pay-to-play, no gimmicks. There were over 40 local companies in each category, and you chose which you thought were the best of the best.

This month’s theme: Food & Drink. We opened the polls on social media and asked you to vote across five categories. Your picks show just how much local talent we have in the Daytona region.

Fine Dining: In Ormond, Alexander’s Prime Steakhouse and SoNapa Grill led the way. Holly Hill’s Chucherias stood out, along with beachside favorite Cast & Crew, and New Smyrna’s iconic The Garlic.

Bakeries: Get your cravings satisfied with your favorite baked goods from Kneading More Sweets, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Turquoise Café, Bliss Beach, and Mon Delice French Bakery—perfect for morning coffee or a sweet gift.

Spirits: Your go-to spots include Copper Bottom Distillery and Drunken Duck Brewing Co in Holly Hill, Madeline’s Wine Bar near the Esplanade, Blue Flame across from the Speedway, and the ever-vibrant Ocean Deck Tiki Bar on the beach.

Specialty Food Stores: Highlights include AM Market & Coffee, Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory, Hull’s Seafood Market, Love Whole Foods, and Perrine’s Produce.

Catering: Whether it’s an elegant dinner or a backyard party, you chose names like 4 Rivers Smokehouse, Alberto’s Catering, Chef Chris Culinary Experiences, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and RPS Catering.
