Dinner + a Movie = Date Night

Dinner + a Movie = Date Night is sending you out for an evening of unforgettable ambiance and old-world charm. Let's start our evening off right, at a very nostalgic steakhouse in Frontenac.

Kreis’ Steakhouse and Bar

A landmark in St. Louis since 1948, Kreis’ Steakhouse and Bar is nestled in the heart of Frontenac and is soon to be your favorite steakhouse in the city. You are surrounded with an old-world charm that you just have to experience. Now, as you take in all of the warmth and ambiance that surrounds you, be prepared to enjoy the most delectable steaks and freshest seafood this side of Boston. Kreis’ menu also features scrumptious dishes with chicken, pork and veal, along with salads and the most luscious desserts bringing the perfect end to your perfect meal. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention Kreis’ signature dish—their world-famous prime rib—that is just as legendary as the place itself.

Now that you’ve had the opportunity to enjoy the perfect meal to start off your date night, let's head to a theater close by, where you can enjoy the luxury of plush, new-world stadium seating while you view a film filled with old-world charm and intrigue at every turn.

Marcus Theatres Des Peres 14 Cinema

Newly refurbished, the Marcus Theatres Des Peres 14 Cine is the perfect place to view your next must-see film. What better way to view it than in one of Marcus Theatres' DreamLounger seats, where you can recline and get even comfier than you can at home? Plus, you can enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverages while viewing; just stop by the Des Peres Cine’s Take Five Lounge. It is adjacent to the main lobby, and it's also the perfect place to stop for a nightcap after the movie too.  So, get ready to enjoy a first-class entertainment experience right off of Highway 270 and Manchester Road at the Des Peres 14 Cinema.

And now it’s time to experience the much-anticipated film, based off the PBS Masterpiece Drama that captivated viewers for five consecutive seasons.

Downton Abbey

Get ready to venture into the next chapter for the beloved Crawley family, as Downton Abbey hits the big screen with the same charm and enchantment that you grew to know and love on PBS. Rumor has it that at this juncture in the storyline, a visit from King George V and Queen Mary is in order, bringing more pomp and circumstance to the manor than we’ve ever been privy to before.

The film is rated PG and written by series creator Julian Fellowes. Downton Abbey stars series regulars Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Alan Leach, Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael and a host of others.

Downton Abbey is scheduled for release in theaters Sept. 20, 2019.
