Georgetown Hill

Georgetown Hill incorporates play and exploration with a nurturing environment that is an extension of how kids live, learn, and play at home. The child-centered programs focus on relationships, sensory and open-ended experiences, and a caring environment where kids thrive.

With programs running all year for infants, toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, first grade and school-age children, Georgetown Hill works with parents using collaborative technology to share updates and pictures of the child throughout the day. This comprehensive approach helps families feel connected to the program, making it an extension of the home.

“Between June and August, Georgetown Hill campuses embrace all the fun that the summer has to offer! Whether based on adventures around the world, exploring our communities, or our favorite storybooks, our summer camp program is filled with play-based learning, nature exploration, water activities, music and movement, sports and fitness, and long-lasting relationships between teachers and children.”

Georgetown Hill is a non-profit with multiple locations. Each one shares the same core values, focusing on the child, family and community. Visit them at georgetownhill.com or call 301-284-8144 to schedule a tour, learn more about their childcare and learning opportunities, or sign up for summer programs.

Academy Child Development Center

Academy Child Development Center has been serving families in Montgomery County since 1981. Their focus is on the relationships they forge with the families and children along with the health, safety and well-being of every child who enters the program.

Mom, Erin C. shares her experience with the Academy Child Development Center: "From the time they are infants, they will receive such loving care. Our daughters have loved them all since day one. Now that our older daughter is four, she gets to do all the fun things. This team goes above and beyond to give our children wonderful experiences and our girls love it there."

The Center’s summer camp programs carry out those same priorities, offering families a place that feels like home. Weekly Club themes keep learning fun and engaging. A favorite part of their summer series is the Trips & Dips program, which includes weekly field trips and swimming.

What parents are saying:

“My daughter has attended Trips & Dips for three summers... And they do lots of outstanding field trips! It’s a fabulous experience for kids and parents alike.” ~ Carol S.

“The program has diverse activities that are fun and educational and that facilitate social development and physical health. The hours and options for extended care also make this program incredibly attractive for our family. Most importantly, however, is the relationships that are developed amongst the kids, staff, and families.” ~Tammy V.
