Personalizing your environment starts with understanding your individual style preferences. Whether you gravitate towards flowing curves or clean, straight lines, or favor light shades over deep tones, these decisions define the atmosphere you aim to create. By evaluating these elements, you can identify the design aesthetic that best mirrors your personal taste. When beginning the design of a room, it’s most effective to start with the largest piece, such as the bed in a bedroom or the sofa in a living room. This foundational element sets the tone for the entire design. In this coastal-inspired design, we selected a soft blue upholstered headboard with modern straight gold metal legs. The choice of blue influenced the selection of accessories like the rug, lamps, and drapery, while the gold influenced the hardware of the furniture, wall mirror, and ceiling fan. To maintain a bright atmosphere, we opted for white furniture, complemented by textured bedding and wicker ottomans. Adding a pair of faux palm trees completes the space, framing it with a coastal charm.
