You don't need to spend $30, $50 or $100 on fancy, designer-label face scrubs in order to have the spring-fresh look.
In fact, with a few ingredients from your pantry, you can make your own healthy, natural face scrubs that not only smell divine, but help your skin's health as well.
From sugar scrubs to salt scrubs, adding a touch of honey, a bit of coconut oil or a dab of essential oil is all it takes to create a face scrub that's also good for hand, elbows and the rest of your body too.
Here are three easy recipes to try:
1. Oat and Honey Scrub
Grind up 1/4 cup of oats in a spice or coffee grinder until finely ground. Combine the oats with 1/8 cup of jojoba or coconut oil and 1/8 cup of raw honey. Apply to the face and massage in for 30 to 60 seconds before rinsing off with warm water.
2. Lemony Sugar Scrub
Combine 1 tbsp of olive oil with the juice of a half of a lemon and 1 tbsp of organic honey. Whisk wet ingredients together before adding in the sugar. Gently massage into the skin and rinse with warm water.
3. Fresh Coffee Scrub
Mix together 1/2 cup fresh ground coffee and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1/2 cup coconut or jojoba oil until well mixed. Gently rub the mixture on the face or body and rinse with warm water.
