DIY Holiday Wreath Place Cards

I’m always looking for unique ways to update my holiday table decor to liven up holiday dinners. Instead of the same table settings I’ve used in the past, I wanted to try something new—enter my DIY holiday wreath place cards.

I love the look of simple modern wreaths, but what I love even more are miniature versions.

After some quick shopping on Amazon (as well as in my holiday decor stash at home), I had everything I needed to make my wreaths.

The Supply List

  • Artificial pine cone picks
  • Faux greenery (with some “ice” sparkle)
  • Gold metal hoops (set of 10: 2-inch, 3-inch and 6-inch)
  • Gold metal hoops (set of 10: 4-inch)
  • Pliers and gold wire or hot glue gun (not pictured)
  • Craft/baking twine
  • Paper and pen or design software and printer
  • Hole punch

Steps

I started with a 4-inch metal hoop and sparkled greenery, which I pulled off the stems to make into smaller pieces. I originally thought it would be easier to use my pliers and gold wire to attach the greenery to the hoops, but I quickly realized that a glue gun is much easier.

After placing the greenery over the mini hoops where they looked good to me, I then hot-glued one line of glue to one side of the hoop and pressed one greenery strand to it until the glue dried.

Adding a little more hot glue to the backside secured the greenery in place.

Once I was happy with the placement, I moved on to the other side of the wreath.

I like a slightly asymmetrical look, so I opted for a shorter section of greenery on the left side.

I cut a strand of baking twine (approximately 5 to 6 inches), ran it through the punched hole and attached it to the hoop.

How simple and cute is that? These DIY holiday wreath place cards will look classic and festive in any place setting from Thanksgiving through winter.

If you want to keep it even more simple, you could simply fold some card stock into a small folded place card.

Ready for more?

Let’s do another look using the same supplies with the addition of the artificial pine cone and berry picks.

I followed the same steps as above but used the greenery picks instead.

I hot glued one pick to the hoop until secure from the front and back side.

Next, I added in another pick to my liking. It felt a bit sparse, so I glued a small pinecone and a couple of extra berries to the hoop.

That’s it! These DIY holiday mini wreaths are just sooo easy! They look super cute and festive in the table setting. I love the pop of red!

What do you think? Will you be making any of these DIY holiday wreath place cards for your next gathering? I highly recommend it!
