With its sleek, chic sign and stunning antique exterior, Dolce Vida Medical Spa has a presence on Danbury Road that commands your attention.

Whether entering through the grand front doors or the discreet side entrance, clients step into a whimsical, dazzling space—plush velvet chairs, a crackling fireplace, cheeky artwork alongside Rembrandt replicas, even a suit of armor. Beneath it all, the soft hum of state-of-the-art machines signals transformation in progress.

Scott Callahan, certified physician assistant (PA) and founder of Dolce Vida, purchased the iconic stone building two years ago.

Not only was Dolce Vida Medical Spa one of the first med spas in Connecticut, it is the only practice in the state that has won Top 100 Aesthetic US Injectors seven years in a row. This unparalleled recognition is due in large part to the expertise of its staff and their dedication to offering some of the most cutting-edge procedures in the country.

Today, Dolce Vida operates in four locations: Westport, Hamden, Trumbull, and Ridgefield, with a team of medical doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, aestheticians, and medical specialists. Each week, they treat more than 350 clients—but Callahan’s mission remains unchanged: to make medical aesthetics as accessible as possible.

“From the beginning, I didn’t want this to be something only for the elite,” Callahan says. “I wanted it to feel safe, approachable, and inclusive.”

This approach resonates with Dolce Vida’s clientele—and especially with the male population. Callahan is one a handful of male med spa owners in the state. And while men make up a very small percentage of med spa clients nationally, at Dolce Vida, the clientele is 31% male.

“Guys want to look and feel good but often don’t know where to turn,” he explains. “We create a space where they can talk about hair transplants, laser removal, ED treatments, and more—without judgment.”

Dolce Vida offers more than 130 procedures and products, many of them natural, cutting-edge, and regenerative. 95% of Dolce Vida’s patients use Xeomin instead of Botox. Callahan pioneered the use of PDO Threads in the United States—which uses absorbable sutures made of biodegradable polymers to lift and tighten sagging skin. Their laser and radiofrequency treatments are non-invasive. And they use Exosomes—microscopic extracellular vesicles—which offer an advanced approach to skin and hair rejuvenation.

Callahan and his team go beyond helping clients look their best—they also want you to feel your best. Dolce Vida offers various wellness services, including a comprehensive weight loss program tailored to fit your individual needs. CoolSculpting and Venus Freeze are revolutionary, cutting-edge treatments to eliminate stubborn fat and cellulite. Hormone Replacement Therapy is designed to alleviate symptoms caused by hormonal imbalances, and more. Dolce Vida uses Biote, a bioidentical hormone therapy delivered via pellet insertion—a method known for its efficacy and convenience.

Central to Callahan’s mission at Dolce Vida, though, is education. On the second floor of the Ridgefield location is Dolce Vida University—a stunning, sunny room equipped with three clinical chairs, eight AI cameras, and various kitschy art (including a podium filled with hundreds of Botox bottles).

This state-of-the-art space enables livestreamed training and doubles as a recording studio for Callahan’s YouTube channel and podcast, The Aesthetic Dish. Dolce Vida University offers private, on-site, and virtual training courses, as well as symposiums to help providers stay at the forefront of aesthetics.

“The experience of the client is based on the level of expertise of the injector,” Callahan says. “Good work is hidden—it’s not obvious. So education is key.”

Safety is equally essential at Dolce Vida. Every injection is guided by AccuVein, a near-infrared vein visualization tool that helps reduce bruising. Ultrasound machines ensure filler is placed precisely—or dissolved instantly, if needed.

“When we do PDO threads, we can actually watch it on the ultrasound, so we’re confident it’s exactly at the right plane,” Callahan says.

“We benchmark ourselves to do exactly what’s right. This industry is still young, and some med spas use dangerous, counterfeit products. We’re fully transparent. If a patient wants to see what’s in our cabinets or refrigerators, we show them. It’s our job to make you feel safe, informed, and cared for.”

At Dolce Vida, you can feel confident knowing Callahan has assembled a team of highly trained professionals who won’t let you walk out bruised—or looking “overdone.”
