“Once you come through that door, you’re gonna love it,” Kay Terry, franchise owner and instructor for Jazzercise in Parker, is a cheerleader for every single woman who comes through her doors.
She found Jazzercise when she was 24 years old and it has been a part of her life ever since. Kay says, “It gets you through ups and downs in your life. You’re having a hard day. You’re having a hard period in your life, come to Jazzercise. Your brain shuts off and you dance and smile!”
With 23 classes a week, Jazzercise is a non-judgment zone. “All ages, all fitness levels, all sizes, all walks of life in one class,” Kay emphasizes the range of ages in the program. They see women in their 20s all the way up to their 80s. “Where do you find that?!” she exclaims.
Kay’s passion is clear, “I want women to know it’s a program you can stay with. I want people to find that when you come to jazzercise, you can stay. You don’t have to go find another program. It encompasses everything you need as far as a workout goes,” she encourages.
Jazzercise is creative, always evolving, uplifting, high energy, fun and a stress free zone! “It’s a community of powerful women. You become great friends with everyone there. The program itself makes you cry, makes you laugh, the routines are all choreographed to music and the music is inspiring,” Kay relishes.
Her words of advice through life’s challenges are, “don’t stop moving.” This emphasis comes from Jazzercise Founder, Judi Sheppard Missett who says, “You gotta keep moving so you can keep going.” That’s the supportive backbone behind Jazzercise.
Jazzercise Parker has done the impossible by staying relevant and evolving in the fitness industry over the last 55 years. They offer fun, dynamic classes like HIIT, cardio, sculpt and stretch. Classes consist of dancing, weight training and stretching, all while working out alongside your friends.
