Don't Wait Until You're 100

Exploring the concept of longevity today

Nearly 30 years ago, Max came to my office as a 98-year-old who was crippled, broke and alone. This beautiful soul was trapped inside a broken-down body; he’d been suffering for decades. He asked, “Can you help me?”

My chiropractic practice was filled with young families, athletes, executives and community leaders with fantastic results — but a nearly 100-year-old man?

As it turns out, I could help — and I was excited to see Max's results. He stood up straighter, his pain reduced and he started walking with more pep. Unfortunately, Max had been degenerating for decades. He had no idea he was going to live to 100. I wished I could have gotten to him sooner.

I started asking our younger families, “If you knew you were going to live to be 100, how would you change your life today?” The answers led to creating The 100 Year Lifestyle.

With seniors one of the fastest growing age groups — and assisted living centers on nearly every corner — we're surrounded by advanced notice of our longevity potential. It’s a sobering reminder that how you live while young will contribute to your quality of life as you age. If, for example, you want to be active, travel and enjoy your grandchildren, you might need to live differently.

Age has nothing to do with feeling young – it’s how you take care of yourself that's vital, especially the spine and nervous system. Living from crisis to crisis and masking symptoms with a shoebox of drugs is not the answer! The chiropractic care and principles we provide through The 100 Year Lifestyle are changing people’s lives locally and worldwide.

Don’t wait for a crisis to force you to change. Be proactive. You’ll be glad you did.
