A Return to Personal Medicine

North Texas Concierge Medicine - Investing in Your Health and Peace of Mind

In a time of crowded waiting rooms and rushed appointments, Dr. Foad Kiamanesh is building something intentionally different at North Texas Concierge Medicine. His model blends traditional insurance-based primary care with a membership structure designed to restore time, access, and trust to the doctor–patient relationship.

“North Texas Concierge Medicine is about getting back to the way your family physician used to be,” says Dr. Foad Kiamanesh. “I still accept most major insurances, including Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. The membership fee allows me to limit my practice size so I can truly be available to my patients.”

Unlike traditional primary care physicians who may carry panels of 5,000 patients or more, Dr. Kiamanesh caps his practice at around 300. The difference is deliberate. “It’s impossible to know your patients well when you’re seeing that many people,” says Dr. Kiamanesh. “By caring for less than ten percent of that number, I get to know my patients, read through their records personally, and coordinate closely with their specialists.”

Members receive same-day or next-day sick visits, longer and unhurried appointments, and direct access to Dr. Kiamanesh by phone or text, including nights and weekends for urgent concerns. For patients seeking an even higher level of privacy and convenience, the Premier Concierge plan brings care home. Dr. Kiamanesh and his nurse conduct house calls, blood draws, and urgent visits in the comfort of a patient’s residence.

The practice operates in-network with insurance companies, which means co-pays and standard billing still apply. “The membership fee buys time,” explains Dr. Kiamanesh. “It allows me to provide a closer, more personal level of care without the pressure of rushing through appointments.”

Each Personal Concierge membership begins with a comprehensive evaluation that goes beyond a routine physical. Dr. Kiamanesh conducts an in-depth history and exam focused on both physical and mental health, reviews prior medical records himself, and performs baseline testing tailored to the individual. Annual EKGs, detailed family history assessments, and targeted lab work help identify subtle changes that might otherwise be overlooked.

His decade as a hospital-based physician sharpened those diagnostic skills. “I spent ten years as a hospitalist reading CT scans and X-rays and managing complex illness,” shares Dr. Kiamanesh. In several cases, he has identified early coronary artery calcium buildup while reviewing imaging, prompting timely referrals to cardiologists for further testing and intervention. “Those blockages might not have been caught until it was too late without the time to review everything carefully.”

Concierge medicine, he believes, eliminates the false choice between preventive care and urgent needs. “We don’t have to balance short-term and long-term health, we can do both,” explains Dr. Kiamanesh. “We always set aside time each day for urgent visits, so patients don’t have to go to an ER or urgent care for common illnesses.”

One patient, he recalls, had struggled for over a year with a rare and debilitating condition despite seeing multiple specialists. The treatment required daily communication and close medication management. “Because my practice is small, I was able to stay in near-daily contact,” says Dr. Kiamanesh. “When he told me recently, he felt like his old self again, that’s why I do this.”

For Dr. Kiamanesh, the mission behind his practice is straightforward. Prioritize prevention, stay ahead of disease, and give patients the time and attention they deserve.

“Investing in your health is just as important, if not more important, than investing in the stock market,” says Dr. Kiamanesh. “This model lets me practice medicine the way it was meant to be practiced, with time, attention, and real connection.”
