Animal Prints, Pops of Color, Polka Dots Usher in a New Season

Dressing For The Times

Animal prints and polka dots continue to be the hot fashion trend in spring 2020. And these easy work-to-date outfits from Mainstream Boutique in Highlands Ranch show how versatile they are.

According to Mainstream owner Stacy Ingram, other trends to watch out for include: layered ruffles; fur and feather textures; bright colors; fringe; suit styles; colorful leather looks; metallic and shiny fabrics; netting and crochet details; coat dresses; bralettes as tops; and neutral monochromatic looks.

OUTFIT ONE: Includes an A-line cut jacket that creates a slimming look both with pants and skirts.  The one we chose is a cherry color.  A pop of color can add energy and fun to the look.  Perfect for a festive event such as a date night or evening out with the girls.  In addition, this jacket works well to take from day to night. You can change up your shoes and jewelry to create a more conservative, or a more edgy look.

OUTFIT TWO: Animal print is still a popular trend in both tops and bottoms. In this look, you can wear the top off or on the shoulder, or add a black jacket to make the print more subtle. We have paired the blouse with black denim and short boots with a subtle snakeskin design.

OUTFIT 3: Polka dots, both small and large, continue to be popular. We have paired this black and white polka dot sheer tie cardigan with our private label Mac and Me denim, which has an absolution waistband. Our Mac and Me denim has great stretch and is one of the most comfortable pair of jeans you will ever own!
