Through the Dripping Springs Art League (DSAL), formed in 2023 with the mission of “Art, Community, and Connection,” the community’s talented artists and amazing galleries are realizing opportunities to expand their craft, find their creative tribe, and connect with art lovers within Dripping Springs and beyond.
To support the first two cornerstones—art and community—DSAL offers clubs, socials, and classes to support artists’ business and marketing goals.
DSAL also seeks to bring more vibrant art into the public square, including collaborations with the city such as the Stars of Dripping Springs now adorning Mercer Street and the art lounge at Songwriters Festival returning this October.
The DSAL now serves over 200 local artists, ranging from blossoming home studio artists to flourishing gallery artists, and provides dozens of volunteer opportunities for those who want to get involved. DSAL creatives span the full range of art, from every painting medium to metal art, fiber art, photography, ceramics, glass, sculpture, jewelry, and more.
DSAL is truly Dripping’s art hub for local creatives, allowing artists to find their tribe, gain artistic support, engage with the community, and build confidence through soaring sales and commissions.
In support of our third cornerstone—connection—artists showcase their talents through art exhibits at many local businesses and through art markets at Jester King Brewery, Bell Springs Winery, and Second Saturday Art Markets at the triangle in downtown Dripping Springs. Each market features 20 or more artists sharing their products, stories, and inspiration with the curious and enthralled public.
DSAL also recognizes the many Dripping Springs art galleries that feature local artists in one location, including Primal Gallery, The Shops at Mars Beads, Mercer Street Chic Boutique & Art Gallery, Dead End Studio, Hand Made at Nutty Brown, Brenham House Collection, Blue Sky Art on Wheels, and others.
DSAL is thrilled to announce its first annual West of Weird Art Tour coming to Dripping Springs May 17 and 18. Five galleries and 30 home studio artists will participate across Dripping Springs, each location offering amazing art displays and refreshments. Visitors can see where the art is created, hear the stories behind the art directly from the artists, and take their favorite pieces home.
Stop by or plan your whole weekend to see the broadest array of art ever displayed in Dripping Springs. Attendance is free, but the experience is priceless.
Local art is a great investment in our local artists, in your community, and for your family. Join DSAL at markets and on tour, and try a club for yourself!
