Tia Dunlap had been searching for a reliable vehicle for months. Her parents, who had been helping her with transportation, put her name on their Bible study prayer list, and just like that … their prayers were answered.
One of the Bible study members connected the family with Lee Moore, owner of Christian Brother Automotive West Little Rock. Lee had been planning to give away a vehicle to a deserving member of the community.
“It was God’s timing,” says Tia’s father, Edward.
“I thought it was a joke at first. I was so surprised,” Tia says, adding that she was beyond grateful.
This is one of three vehicles Lee and his team have donated to a community member. Lee says he believes it’s simply what his business is called to do.
“Giving back is at the heart of who we are. God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others. Every donation we make reflects our core mission. As Matthew 22:39 reminds us: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ That verse guides how we serve our customers and our community every day.”
Tia, a medical assistant at OrthoArkansas, says her newly gifted SUV will help her travel to work and church and transport her daughter to school and sports activities.
“It is just such a blessing – much more than we could have expected or imagined,” Tia’s mother, Cynthia, says.
“My team and I are always grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community,” Lee says. “When we lift others up, our community grows stronger. Imagine the impact if every business — large or small — found a way to give back. Together we can build a stronger, more compassionate community for everyone.”
