True style is measured not only by what we admire, but by how we choose to give back. Few events embody style with substance more beautifully than Rides to Remember, where Ferrari of Atlanta’s legendary automobiles, timeless design, and compassionate giving travel the same road.
Ferrari of Atlanta’s 501c3, Rides to Remember, has become one of Georgia’s most beloved charitable traditions, uniting automotive enthusiasts, business leaders, volunteers and generous supporters to create unforgettable moments for children battling cancer while helping fund lifesaving research.
This year marks a significant milestone as Rides to Remember Track Day celebrates its 20th anniversary, while its annual gala celebrated its fourth year as one of Atlanta’s premier philanthropic evenings. The celebration once again united an extraordinary community committed to giving back, proving that when passion meets purpose, remarkable things happen.
The evening benefited CURE Childhood Cancer, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House, and Camp Sunshine - three organizations whose missions profoundly impact children and families navigating the unimaginable realities of childhood cancer. Together, they help advance lifesaving research, provide families with a home away from home during treatment, and create joyful experiences that allow children to simply be children.
Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of disease-related death among children in the United States. Behind every diagnosis is a child with dreams still unfolding and a family searching for hope. Every dollar raised advances research, supports families during treatment, and reminds them they never walk this journey alone.
At the heart of this mission is Ferrari of Atlanta, whose leadership has demonstrated that a world-class luxury brand can also become an extraordinary force for good. Nearly twenty years ago, the dealership launched Rides to Remember in honor of a family member diagnosed with neuroblastoma. What began as one family’s desire to create hope has grown into a community-wide movement that inspires Ferrari clients, automotive enthusiasts, business leaders, philanthropists and volunteers from across Atlanta and the state of Georgia to stand together in the fight against childhood cancer.
That spirit of generosity extends far beyond one organization. It is reflected in the businesses and individuals who donate their time, talents and resources year after year. SOAR Media has played a pivotal role in bringing the vision of the gala to life, while LLL Event Rentals has graciously donated furnishings and décor since 2022, helping create the elegant atmosphere guests have come to anticipate. Their commitment reflects a sentiment that has always defined Rides to Remember: profound impact is possible when an entire community comes together.
Although this year’s Gala took place in August, the opportunity to make a difference continues. The celebration culminates with Rides to Remember Track Day on September 26 at Atlanta Motorsports Park, whose longstanding partnership has helped create one of the event’s most unforgettable experiences. Rather than simply admiring world-class automobiles from the sidelines pediatric cancer patients and their siblings climb into the passenger seat alongside volunteer drivers for exhilarating laps around one of the Southeast’s premier road courses.
Community members are invited to register to drive, volunteer, or support the mission through a charitable gift. Every act of generosity helps move us one step closer to a future where no family has to hear the words, “your child has cancer.” "For anyone considering getting involved, this is one of the most rewarding events you can be part of. You get to spend time with the children and families who benefit from your support, and you see the impact immediately," says Craig Forbes, General Manager, Ferrari of Atlanta.
For a few unforgettable moments, treatments, hospital rooms and uncertainty are replaced by laughter, excitement and memories that families will treasure forever. Beyond the track, loved ones enjoy food, activities and fellowship, surrounded by volunteers dedicated to making every child feel celebrated. "Years of this work has taught us one thing above all else: joy is powerful. For a child in treatment, a day at the racetrack or an evening surrounded by generosity is not a small thing. It's everything," says Olivia Malifa, Managing Director of SOAR Media Agency.
It is easy to admire these extraordinary automobiles for their engineering, craftsmanship and breathtaking performance. Yet on this day, horsepower becomes secondary. What truly matters is the compassion behind every steering wheel, the generosity of every sponsor, and the countless volunteers whose hearts fuel an event that has changed lives for twenty years.
As Rides to Remember celebrates this noteworthy milestone, its greatest legacy is not measured in laps completed or exotic automobiles displayed. It is measured in lives touched, research funded, families embraced and hope renewed. Ferrari of Atlanta’s leadership, the generosity of its clients, the unwavering support of community partners, and the passion of hundreds of volunteers have shown what is possible when an entire community rallies around a cause greater than itself. "It's unbelievable that it's been 20 years. The time has flown by so fast. What started as such a small event has grown into something incredible. I'm proud of everyone involved, our company, our charity partners, the children and families, our supporters, and all the volunteers who have helped make it what it is today," shares Craig Forbes, General Manager, Ferrari of Atlanta.
For twenty years, Rides to Remember has proven the most meaningful journeys aren’t defined by speed, horsepower or destination - they’re defined by compassion. In the end, style is about more than what we drive or what we wear; it’s about how we choose to serve others. And perhaps, the most enduring expression of style isn’t found in what we own, but in the lives we touch, the hope we inspire, and the legacy of compassion we leave behind.
