Follow your bliss and doors will open—Joseph Campbell’s famous advice certainly holds true for Aldo Trejo of Exclusive Shop in Westlake Village. Driven by his love of luxury cars, Aldo began working with his brother more than 15 years ago to learn the art of window tinting and high-end car services. Building his skills through the years, Aldo and his brother have expanded from their original Moorpark shop to open a second shop in Camarillo and, most recently, a third location in Westlake Village.
“My husband loves cars—especially luxury cars, so in this work, he gets to be around cars all day!” says Aretty, Aldo’s wife and business partner who—sometimes with their two darling girls, ages 5 and 7, in tow—helps run the shops’ daily operations. “We’re truly a small, family business,” she adds, noting that their girls love to help out too by “picking up trash or helping mommy during the days.”

Q. What services do you offer at Exclusive Auto Shop?
A. We’re a designated 3M pro shop offering quality products and services for custom window tinting, car wraps, paint protection and paint correction. We also do powder coating and ceramic coating, and we offer gloss vinyl wrap with more than 100 colors to choose from, as well as brushed and satin vinyl wraps and partial wraps.
We make house calls too, transforming regular home windows into energy-efficient windows, which translates to yearly savings for you.
Q. What are the benefits of window tinting?
A. Adding tint to your car windows improves comfort, blocking UV rays and protecting your vehicle interiors while keeping it cooler inside—plus it looks sleek and stylish. We offer a wide variety of tint options designed to enhance your view and allow visible light in while keeping the heat out. The tint helps block ultraviolet light.
And many people don’t know you can also tint your home windows to save energy—and money! According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 30% of all energy used to heat and cool your home goes out the window; we use an innovative 3M™ Thinsulate™ Climate Control Window Film that insulates windows from the weather. The heat-reflecting technology keeps your house warmer in the winter and the sun-blocking technology keeps it cooler during the summer months. The film is virtually invisible and also improves the insulation value of a typical single pane window to that of a double pane window and a double pane window to a triple pane window, all while still allowing plenty of light into your home.
Q. How much does window tinting cost?
A. The prices start around $10 per square foot for commercial and residential window tinting.
