When was E-Bike of Holmes County founded and what inspired you to start your business?
In 2014, I was introduced to a retrofitted e-bike and was fascinated by the versatility and ease of the ride. I began my business in late 2015 by converting standard bikes with retro-fit kits instead of selling new e-bike models. However, I soon realized that our customers would benefit from better balance, stronger frames and a more streamlined design with a complete e-bike. As a result, I shifted my focus to offering complete e-bikes and providing our customers with the best possible riding experience.
Why do you recommend an e-bike over a standard bicycle?
E-bikes have many benefits that can improve your life and the environment. They provide a convenient and cost-effective way to commute, run errands and enjoy recreational activities while reducing carbon emissions and air pollution. E-bikes can also improve physical fitness and overall well-being by encouraging more outdoor activity and reducing stress associated with traffic congestion. E-bikes offer an excellent opportunity for individuals who may not have the physical ability to ride a standard bike to enjoy outdoor activities such as bike trails or simply around the neighborhood/campground. People with physical limitations who would normally miss out on these activities can now join their friends and family with the help of electric bikes.
