Pappy's Smokehouse
This Memphis-style barbecue is made fresh every day and they stay open until they run out of meat! They are closely related to several other BBQ places in the area (Bogarts, Adam's, Boogie's, Southern and Dalie's), so be sure to check out the entire family.
While their dining room is currently closed, they have some limited outdoor seating and offer online ordering (use the link in the picture) and can be found on GrubHub. They are well known for their house-specialty ribs and sweet potato fries.
Salt + Smoke
With four locations (soon to be five!) all around St. Louis, you can't ignore this barbecue. They love to serve fresh pies, fries, and of course barbecue and offer catering services. Vegetarian dishes are typically hard to find at a barbecue joint, but this one has creatively found some ways to incorporate them.
They have patio seating at all four of their locations and their online ordering is easy as pie: they offer carryout, curbside, and delivery. The friendly staff, delicious pies, and of course, the barbecue make this a great place to support in Saint Louis.
St. Louis Q
Located in North County, St. Louis Q has been family-owned and operated since 1994. Their potato salad is on the sweet side and they have their own signature sauce. From ribs to pork to catfish, to sweet potato pie, their slogan "The Best Q in the Lou" comes pretty darn close to describing how delicious it is.

The Stellar Hog
Belgian Waffles, Smoked Brussel Sprouts, Stuffed Peppers, S'mores Bread Pudding, burgers, and of course, barbecue, are just some of the delicious foods you'll find at The Stellar Hog. They cater and are currently selling "Meat Packages" that offer huge spreads for you and another person (though you probably won't want to share).

BEAST Butcher + Block
This barbecue place is in a league of their own: they offer a huge menu, catering, fresh meat in bulk, local craft beers, classes, and vegetarian options. Notorious for their smoked cauliflower and their award-winning meats, this BBQ place partners with "The Butchery" to get the best meats in town. Definitely worth stopping by and supporting this family-owned business.
