While busy planning her wedding, Olivia Ivey-Davis launched her Instagram page as a creative escape. At the time, she worked in corporate advertising and lived in Austin. Fast forward a few years, and today Ivey-Davis lives in Dripping Springs with two toddlers and a baby on the way. And what started out as a hobby has exploded into a thriving social media presence, drawing over 125,000 followers who turn to her for real-life, affordable style inspiration.
Now a part-time stay-at-home mom, Ivey-Davis fills her feed with real-life looks that are stylish, practical, and budget-friendly: accessible Amazon dresses, comfy layers, and outfits built for chasing kids across Hill Country playgrounds. “I try to do something for myself every day, even if it’s just getting dressed,” she says.
We sat down with Ivey-Davis to discuss fall fashion and how she’s making everyday style easy for moms everywhere.
Describe your style vibe.
Since moving to Dripping Springs, my style has definitely gotten more laid-back. I dress more for comfort now. I lean toward neutral tones, looser fits, and a touch of Boho. It’s a very Hill Country, Texas vibe.
How does the heat impact your fashion choices?
Oh, it’s everything! Fall doesn’t really happen here until after Halloween, but I still like to feel fall-ish. I’ll wear layers or a cute jacket just to make an outfit feel complete.
What does a typical outfit look like for you right now?
I’m pregnant, so I’m trying to stretch my current wardrobe as far as I can. I look for stretchy, roomy pieces: leggings, oversized dresses, comfy sets. I want to feel put-together but also be able to move because I’m chasing two toddlers all day.
Your followers love your affordable finds. How do you decide what to share?
Affordability is always a big factor. I keep things realistic. I try to reflect our family’s style without going over budget.
Does your husband share your love of fashion?
Not at all! (laughs) He’s super laid-back and couldn’t care less about trends, but he supports me 100 percent. It’s kind of the perfect balance.
