Eatin' Prairie Burger Battle

Multi-Restaurant Culinary Showdown Fortifies Spirit of Local Mercantilism

No other city has a greater sense of civic duty than Eden Prairie. When First Western Bank & Trust and the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce asked us to step up and support local businesses – by eatin’ burgers – we answered their call.

The Eatin’ Prairie Burger Battle was waged between the best of the best in the Eden Prairie culinary scene. Each restaurant was challenged to create a unique, life-alteringly delicious burger, serve their entry throughout the month of September, and have patrons judge it according to four criteria: presentation, flavor, creativity, and customer service. Brazin Public House, CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar, Fat Pants Brewing Co., Kona Grill, My Burger, Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom, Pizza Karma, Redstone American Grill, and The Original Pancake House all rose to the occasion.

Who won the Eatin’ Prairie Burger Battle? The great city of Eden Prairie, of course. “According to data collected from Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce on October 7th, participating restaurants served a grand total of 1,322 burgers during the battle,” reported Pat MulQueeny, president of the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce. “By our measure, that amounts to a direct economic impact of $21,677.18.”

The Eatin’ Prairie Burger Battle’s full impact can’t be measured in dollars and cents. The friendly competition raised public awareness of our town’s many superb dining options. It encouraged Eden Prairie residents to discover local restaurants they’d never considered before. It brought the entire burger-loving world together in closer harmony.

No, really – who won the Eatin’ Prairie Burger Battle? “We’re proud to announce that Brazin Public House won this year’s competition,” said Izzy Nelson, special projects and events intern with the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce. “Their Wake Up Call burger will surely go down in history. But that’s not to diminish the other restaurants’ amazing efforts. We appreciate everyone who participated in this year’s battle, and can’t wait for what’s to come in 2025!”
