24 New Year's Resolution for 2024 

We are still very early in 2024! So if you haven’t started or stopped with everyday life stressors..Don’t worry you still have time and remember that it is okay to still be a work in progress and re-start and stop goals. So, if you're looking for some New Year's resolutions or need a gentle reminder, here are 24 New Year's Resolutions for 2024.

Give one compliment a day

 Give a compliment to someone and make them smile!

Read one book a month 

You could increase your chances of living longer by reading a book. This 12-year study on survival advantage found that those who read books survived around two years longer than those who didn't read books for 30 minutes a day.

Volunteer 

Volunteering is a way to get involved in your community. Here are 5 ways to get involved in your community or volunteer with WYTV7

Start saving and investing

Want to save a little each paycheck? It’s no time like the present 

Call a friend once a week 

Ever have that sudden funny memory with a friend? Call your friend and say:”HI” and ask how they’ve been doing.

Journal every morning and/or night 

Journal down things like dreams, thoughts, visions,

Take up a new hobby

Knitting, Crocheting, Cooking, Gardening the list goes on! 

Put your bills on autopay 

Have you ever forgotten a bill and had to unexpectedly pay a fee? Set your bills on autopay! 

Schedule your Dr. Appointments in advance 

Health is wealth, schedule your appointments in advance and monitor your well-being. 

Take a social media break 

I often take breaks from social media to quiet the noise of mindless scrolling. Try this at least once a month 

Start planting 

Have a green thumb? Plant your favorite flower!

Try cooking at least three times a week 

Have a favorite dish? Try cooking it at home and see how it comes out 

Take a short trip 

Short trips are fun because not only are you not too far away from home you get to explore somewhere you can go to often

Get into meditation 

Try guided meditation 

Have a self-care day 

A self-care day once a month 

Clean as you go

Try cleaning as you go rather than all in one day 

Become a morning person

Become a morning person and get all your major tasks out of the way 

Stay on track with a to-do list 

Have trouble with staying on top of important tasks? Try a to-do list and declutter your brain  

Become more active 

Try low-impact exercises like walking for 15-30 minutes a day.

Ask for a raise 

This may seem difficult at first but keep track of all your major accomplishments and when the time is right build your confidence and ask

Sleep better 

Try getting a full 8 hours of sleep.

Learn a new language 

Curious about learning a new language? Try learning and building those skills

Stop stress spending 

Have you ever picked something up and thrown it in your cart (in person and virtually)? Try leaving it in your cart for 48 hrs and see if you still want it!

Spend more quality time with loved ones 

Quality time is a love language. As we move into February spend some time with a loved one
