We’re passionate about two things here at Eden Prairie Lifestyle: cultivating a community in which local businesses thrive best, and golf. Sadly, first sentences of magazine articles aren’t the only kind of hook we’re responsible for. But that’s okay! We still love competing in the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament for all the right reasons.
This year’s tournament was held on June 5th at The Wilds Golf Club. It was a beautiful day – a chamber of commerce day – with highs in the 70s and low wind as 128 fired-up golfers took to the links. An hours-long flurry of woods and irons ensued as chamber members deftly vied for top honors. Though every team played heroically, only the top three shall be named in the annals of history (aka Eden Prairie Lifestyle).
- First Place - Hatzung Insurance, with Brad Hansen, Mark Johnson, Zach Kwakenat and Doug Panner
- Second Place - BWS Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, with Jim Gustafson, Bruce Strandberg, Matt Weber and Randy Westerman
- Third Place - Starkey, with Ben Davenport, Drew Dvorak, Michael Scholl and Patrick Trombley
“Many people know that business gets done during the conversations that take place on the golf course,” said Pat MulQueeny, president of the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce. “Our event is no exception to this rule. Our sponsors have many new clients to show for their participation in this year’s tournament!”
“We’re grateful to host any event where business owners, executives and community leaders can interact, network and build closer relationships,” said Kirsten Barott, relationship and events manager for the Chamber. “Our Annual Golf Tournament doesn’t just create new business partnerships and opportunities. It raises funds for the chamber’s future events, our business development programs, advocacy efforts and charitable causes. It creates additional visibility and brand awareness for our sponsoring members. Most of all, it allows us to show our appreciation to all of our members and volunteers, without whom our non-profit organization could not exist. Thank you all for coming out and making divots!”
