But the company, which brings on-demand hair and beauty services from vetted industry pros directly to clients, was co-founded by Giovanni Vaccaro, a veteran stylist from New York City’s storied Frederic Fekkai salon. “I got into beauty because I loved helping people build confidence,” he tells Westport Lifestyle. “But as a stylist, I saw there weren’t many opportunities outside of salons or counters for talented artists to grow their careers.” Thus, Glamsquad was born. Since launching in New York, the company has grown into a national platform, now operating in more than 15 cities with over 2,000 beauty professionals and nearly 2 million services completed. Its expansion into Westport and greater Fairfield County reflects their simple strategy: follow the client.
