Editor's Pick: SSN Method

Like many of you, I transitioned to at-home workouts during the early days of the pandemic and never looked back—there’s just something about the convenience of exercising in my own basement that makes it hard to do anything else. So there are precious few fitness classes I will schedule and leave the house for, but those from Westport’s Sarah Sadie Newett top the list. Her three unique SSN Method classes are available in two studio locations, both on a picturesque private property that’s serene and welcoming. There’s the mat-based Length and Strength classes that combine Pilates, dance, and yoga; the Reformer classes that reinvent everything you thought you knew about Pilates; and the gravity-defying Aerial classes that use aerial hammocks to suspend clients from the ceiling. She's also got a flexibility-focused workshop called Bend Beyond Belief and pop-ups for philanthropic classes for organizations like Pink Aid and Filling In The Blanks. Whether you want to expand your fitness this year or just try something out of your comfort zone (mine was “right-side-up”), Sarah’s classes work for any and every fitness level. (Really, they do!) Not to mention they’re fun: between the inventive programming and Sarah’s lightning-fast humor, the time flies by.
