Sleek Creperie + Cafe
Signature Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Crepe
If you must pick just one sweet indulgence at Sleek Creperie in Fairfield, make it the Signature Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Crepe, an irresistibly decadent take on the café’s freshly made crepes. Delicate and warm, each crepe is generously filled with luscious Dubai chocolate pistachio cream and silky milk chocolate, then drizzled with rich pistachio sauce. A finishing sprinkle of crushed pistachios adds a satisfying crunch, creating layers of creamy, nutty and chocolatey goodness in every bite. Rich without sacrificing texture, it’s the kind of indulgence made for lingering over—or sharing, if you can bring yourself to.
Beyond its signature crepes, Sleek blends the experience of a luxury chocolate shop, coffee bar and artisan creperie, with handcrafted desserts and globally inspired flavors adding even more temptation to the menu. sleekchocolate.com
Connie’s Frozen Custard
Cookie Butter Biscoff
If you can eat just one thing at Connie’s Frozen Custard, make it the Cookie Butter Biscoff. A favorite at the Towne Lake location, this decadent treat starts with velvety vanilla custard, made fresh that day, then hand-blended with creamy, spiced cookie butter and crunchy Biscoff cookies. The result is an irresistible mix of buttery caramelized cookie flavor, cool, silky custard and crave-worthy crunch in every spoonful.
That signature richness starts with Connie’s custard, made fresh daily in small batches and served directly from the machines for an exceptionally smooth, creamy texture. Each flavor is hand-blended to order, ensuring every bite tastes freshly made.
And for longtime Connie’s fans, the beloved pecans remain a must. Their buttery crunch shines in classics like the Butter Pecan Concrete and Texas Turtle Sundae, two favorites that prove some indulgences never go out of style. conniesfrozencustard.com
Local Table
Baked Goat Cheese
When you’re craving something memorable, Local Table’s Baked Goat Cheese deserves a spot at the table. From Executive Chef Sue Nowamooz, this dish brings together creamy, sweet and spicy flavors in one warm, shareable dish. A blend of cheeses, with creamy goat cheese taking center stage, is seasoned with spices and a touch of cayenne, then baked until warm, melty and perfect for spreading. Dried apricots and crushed red pepper finish the dish, adding natural sweetness, texture and a gentle kick of heat that balances the richness of the cheese. Served alongside freshly toasted baguette slices from a local bread vendor, the crisp edges and soft interior offer the perfect contrast to the creamy cheese. Each bite delivers a satisfying combination of rich, tangy cheese, subtle heat, sweet apricot and toasted crunch, making this flavorful appetizer a Local Table favorite. eatatlocaltable.com/locations/cypress
R+ R Crafthouse
Cajun Club Po’ Boy
There is plenty to tempt you at R+R Crafthouse, but the Cajun Club Po’ Boy takes the classic club sandwich and gives it an irresistible Louisiana twist. It starts with a warm, toasted New Orleans-style po’ boy from Gambino’s Bakery, piled high with savory ham, turkey and tender roast beef, then layered with melty provolone, American and Swiss cheeses. Crisp lettuce and zesty jalapeño mayo add the perfect bite, while a generous pour of rich, house-made beef gravy soaks into the bread, bringing every savory layer together. Hearty, messy and deliciously over-the-top in all the right ways, it’s a two-handed feast served with a pile of crispy, hand-cut fries.
This Cypress favorite is expanding to Katy! Anticipated to open this November at 6845 Peek Road, the second location will bring its signature neighborhood hospitality along with a mix of old favorites and exciting new menu items. The Katy location will also introduce a weekend brunch menu. A new dessert is in the works—and it may just rival the beloved Jeanne’s White Chocolate Bread Pudding! crafthousegrill.com
Soto’s Cantina
Steak de Otoño
At Soto’s Cantina, Chef Carlos Gomez turns up the flavor with a beautifully seared 10-ounce skirt steak served over rich, vibrant pipián rojo. Roasted sweet potato and seasonal squash bring a touch of earthy sweetness, while toasted pumpkin seeds add a satisfying crunch and fresh pomegranate provides a bright, juicy finish. Savory, smoky and subtly sweet, each bite delivers layers of flavor in a colorful dish inspired by the warmth of the season.
Soto’s Cantina is a family-owned, award-winning Mexican restaurant known for fresh, flavorful dishes rooted in generations of family recipes. Using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, the menu spans everything from celebrated fajitas and enchiladas to vibrant seafood dishes, fresh salads and handcrafted margaritas. There’s even more reason to celebrate at Soto’s Cantina! The family-owned restaurant recently received the prestigious “Sello M” distinction, an honor promoted by Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the Mexican Academy of Gastronomy. The recognition celebrates the quality of Soto’s culinary offerings and its contribution to promoting Mexican gastronomy throughout the Houston community—a meaningful honor for the Soto family, who have spent years sharing authentic family recipes, Mexican flavors and warm hospitality with their guests. sotoscantina.com
Creekwood Grill
Pollo Borracho
For the bite you’ll still be thinking about after you leave Creekwood Grill, order the Pollo Borracho. This juicy half chicken is injected with beer, dry-marinated in the restaurant’s special rub and smoked low and slow for three to three-and-a-half hours. The result is fall-off-the-bone tender chicken with a beautifully seasoned exterior and loaded with bold, smoky, barbecue flavor. Served with a baked potato or your choice of two sides, it’s hearty, flavor-packed comfort in every bite.
There’s even more to look forward to at Creekwood Grill with the addition of Executive Chef Timothy J. Lewis to the culinary team. Most recently serving members at Houston Oaks Country Club, Chef Lewis also brings experience from several of Houston’s higher-end restaurants. He is already putting his touch on the menu, refining longtime favorites and revamping the dessert offerings with a house-made cobbler and cheesecakes now baked in-house. This fall, diners can also look forward to a few tempting new additions, including a hearty pork shank and broiled scallops served over Cajun maque choux.
Creekwood Grill made several improvements over the summer, including expanding its upstairs private event space, the Saloon, now accommodating up to 80 guests—or 120 when using the entire upstairs. Outdoors, the new Marquee adds a commercial-grade shade structure covering all picnic tables, so families can comfortably enjoy the turf lawn, big-screen LED TV and playground. With 100 percent of its outdoor tables now shaded, it’s an upgrade the community has been eagerly anticipating. creekwoodgrill.com
