It's more important than ever to support and celebrate local makers. When I saw these personalized bracelets on Instagram (@mvb.race.lets), I immediately DM'd her to order. I have seen those floating around for some time on social media, and I was so excited to find out that not only is Molly a local Kansas City maker, but she's a hustling mama as well. She may be most known for her Chiefs bracelets, but you can personalize them any way you want.
Here's a little bit more about Molly!
How did you get started?
After seeing some bracelets my friend made, I knew I needed some for myself. So, I made my own with my boys' names on them. It took off from there! I started having friends reaching out wanting their own as well. The requests kept coming, and that was the beginning of my little business.
How long have you been making your bracelets?
I started in July. Things have escalated quickly!
Is this your full-time gig or a side hustle?
Making bracelets is my side hustle. I'm actually a maternal fetal medicine sonographer at a hospital here in KC by day.
What's the best part?
The joy and satisfaction my customers have with their orders is what makes this so incredible. The icing on the cake is seeing them share on social media wearing their new gems!
What's the toughest part about running your business?
So far the toughest part is just keeping up! I'm a mom of a 1- and 3-year-old, so finding the time can be tricky.
What's your favorite thing about KC?
THE CHIEFS! We love football in my family (my husband is a local HS football coach) and the passion for the Chiefs runs deep.
