Deep in the tropical rainforests, the epic Maya civilization reached improbable heights then mysteriously collapsed. Exhibition visitors will journey through the awe-inspiring Maya architecture and astonishing cultural accomplishments in an immersive space, decipher hieroglyphs, learn about the intricate Maya calendar and unearth the ancient burial site of Uxual.

Presented and organized by Kansas City Bier Company — Kansas City’s largest locally owned brewery — KC Oktoberfest is a two-day festival celebrating authentic German-style bier, food, and entertainment at Crown Center in the heart of downtown Kansas City. October 7 5-11pm & 8 11am-11pm

Fall Chick Event is an outdoor, tented shopping event in the south (front) parking lot at Town Center Plaza that focuses on what shopping small with products made by over 100 talented and creative local vendors that will be at the event! There will also be a fun kids corner for the little ones! October 8th 10am-6pm and Sunday October 9th 11am-4pm

In partnership with Quixotic, Powell Gardens ushers in fall with an immersive, walk-through installation in the woods. As the dark lush veils of nightfall sweep solemnly across an eerie Midwest sky, Dark Forest invites you to journey through a magical and mysterious wooded landscape where the channels of nature’s mortal realms are pierced by paranormal forces and spellbinding supernatural beings. 5-11pm
Boo & Brew @ Town Center Plaza | October 29 3-6pm
Boo-gie at this live concert event with performances by Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars tribute band, JAM, with Thriller dances happening hourly. Spectacular aerial performances by KC Aerial Arts are a not-to-be-missed attraction. New this year – The Great Pumpkin Drop, presented by 99.7 The Point will smash Kansas City’s largest pumpkins from a sky-high crane. 3-6pm
Howl-O-Ween @ KC Wine Co | Oct 29 & 30 12-6pm
Take a stroll out on the farm, explore the vineyards, and look out over the beautiful property with your leashed four legged friend during our Mutts & Merlot weekends. We'll have wine, wine slushes, hard cider and Vine Coolers available for purchase at the wine bar at The Barrel Room. Open to responsible guests 21+ and leashed furry friends. 12-6pm
