It’s no surprise that families and businesses want premier venue choices when it comes to hosting important events. What surprises many is that the perfect choice for any event can be found right here in the city of Mason at Manor House.

Janet and David Nelson are the current owners of Manor House. They purchased the business from close friends Kathy and Bill Kinane in 2018.

“We always knew we wanted to own a business together,” David says. “Janet had experience in the industry having organized multiple fundraising events at Manor House, and we’d attended numerous events there for social and business functions. We knew when the Kinanes said they wanted to retire that this was the right venture for us.”

Manor House hosts approximately 500 events per year. About 40 percent of events are weddings; 40 percent are corporate; and the other 10 percent are anniversary parties, holiday events, fundraisers and other events.

This premier event venue succeeds not only at providing an elegant space but also for providing its clients with services that make hosting the event stress-free. The team at Manor House pulls out all of the stops to ensure that its clients are comfortable and the events go smoothly. While this is especially important on the wedding side of the business, it’s this superior level of service that continues to attract the attention of the Cincinnati business community.

More businesses are saying “I do” to holding meetings at Manor House because of the many amenities offered. Rooms can accommodate anywhere from 25 to 2,000 people, including breakout room options. High-speed internet with Wi-Fi throughout the property keeps employees connected on a secure network, making sure client privacy needs are met. Whether a meeting requires breakfast, lunch, dinner or breakout snacks, all food is prepared fresh in-house, and beverages can be provided. The sales staff are more like event planners who customize and take care of room layout, table setup, AV and lighting, food and bar arrangements and can assist with recommendations for any other specific preferences.

Morgan Orlando, an event and sales manager at Manor House, says she sees more corporations investing in events to create a stronger brand and culture amongst employees.

“We help businesses create meaningful and productive experiences because it’s not often we say ‘no.’ We are flexible, accommodating and are going to make it happen how your company wants it done, rather than telling someone how Manor House does it. It’s a very personalized experience for each client,” Morgan says.

The property itself is truly unique and has a history of renovation and expansion. The Manor House, which was originally the Weller Farm, opened in 1997 with a space that housed only one banquet room. Today’s incarnation of Manor House boasts 16 acres of land and multiple facilities for both indoor and outdoor events—a distinctive feature for an event space in the Greater Cincinnati area.

“Having been here for more than 20 years means we’ve seen it all, we’ve done it all and we’ve run it all,” explains Jerry Damron, Manor House’s operations manager. “People can have peace of mind thanks to our great reputation and experience. We all do whatever it takes.”

THE MAIN BUILDING

Oversized windows and walkout French doors give this space a country club setting with an inviting feel. Rooms can be transformed for any event or size, and all ballrooms feature a built-in mahogany bar, fireplace and covered porch.

THE GARDENS

Across the property, you’ll find a variety of beautiful gardens and patios that serve as stunning backdrops for events and photos. Florals in spring and summer, fireplaces in fall and winter—these spaces are impressive and serene year-round.

THE CARRIAGE HOUSE

This building is a beautiful blend of a rustic chapel and lodge. Although it is the newest addition to the Manor House Estate, the Carriage House preserves the site’s historical charm while providing modern amenities that can be customized for any event.
